Teacher Accuses Students of 'Hate Crime' For Leaving a Bible on Her Desk

Last week I reported on the new "Hate Crimes" prevention legislation passed by congress. Today I report on an example of where this sort of law can lead us. Fortunately, this particular incident did not succeed in brining "hate crimes" charges against anyone. However, it clearly shows the trend that is building.
An eighth-grade science teacher in Apex, North Carolina, has accused her students of committing a "hate crime" because a bible was left on her desk along with a Christmas card. These, along with other accusations, were posted on the teachers Facebook page which at the time was open to the public. The teacher also stated that she would not let the incident "go unpunished". In addition, there were a series of comments made by friends of the teacher that "talked about 'ignorant Southern rednecks' and calling parents 'bigoted, stupid, and uncaring'. One comment suggested that the teacher "bring a poster to class of NASCAR Dale Earnhardt Jr. with a swastika drawn of his forehead because doing so would be 'teaching' the students a lesson". To this the teacher responded, "And without a job. But I like it". The teacher was been placed on a five-day suspension while school officials investigate complaints by the parents of the students.
The full story, by Chelsea Schilling of WorldNetDaily, can be read by clicking here.
Again, this is just one example of the "hate crime" trend building in this country, which is particularly targeted at Christians, heterosexuals, and the white community as a whole. It is getting to the point that if you disagree with someone, have a different view, or oppose a certain behavior, and that person is of a different orientation, race, religion, or sex, then you stand a very good chance of being accused of a "hate crime". Fortunately, as I said, this particular incident did not result in any formal "hate crimes" charges. However, people is other parts of the country have been officially accused, and in some cases on much slimmer 'evidence' than this. You can look for this trend to grow even further, and see people imprisoned as more and more people scream "hate crime" every time they feel they have been offended.
