Home Bible Study Attacked in San Diego

The title of this article sounds like it came out of the country of China, where people who have home Bible studies are persecuted. But no, this is happening right here in the United States, and in California to be exact (no surprise there). A pastor and his wife are in trouble with the local government because they hold weekly Bible studies in their home.
It seems that the county considers their weekly Bible studies a "religious assembly" and therefore must obtain a "Major Use Permit" from the county. The cost of this permit, and its associated regulations, could end up in the tens of thousands of dollars.
The couple were also asked some pretty pointed questions by the county official who came to their home. A sample is shown below:
"Do you have a regular weekly meeting in your home? Do you sing? Do you say 'amen'?" the official reportedly asked. "Do you say, 'Praise the Lord'?"
This sounds much like an interrogation, which the pastors wife claims happened.
The story of this tragic event was written by Drew Zahn of WorldNetDaily, and can be read by clicking here.
This is just a taste of things to come. Yet, many Christians just do not see it. Little by little the secular powers in this country are chipping away at our religious freedoms.
