Will the U.S. Strike Iran?

It is common, and mostly accepted, knowledge that Iran is attempting to construct a nuclear weapon. While Iran denies attempting to construct a bomb, the world as a whole is very concerned about the possibilities of a nuclear Iran. The true questions are, will the United States allow this to happen? Will the U.S. strike Iran? If so, what will the repercussions be?
Many hope and pray for a diplomatic solution. Hopes of this nature, while admirable, are naive.
