Pastor Arrested For Being On Public Sidewalk

It seems that the city of Wichita, Kansas has a problem with Christian pastors being on its public sidewalks.
Mark Holick, who is the pastor of Spirit One Christian Center, was recently arrested by 10 police officers for merely being on a public sidewalk. Holick wanted to communicate his religious beliefs on the same date that a "homosex-fest" was being held in a public park. he contacted the authorities and asked if he could do this. They told him he could as long as he did not enter the park and stayed on the sidewalk. When Holick and some church members arrived at the sidewalk, they were instantly confronted by a number of police officers and were told that they could not be on the sidewalk. One thing led to another, and the pastor was arrested. The story was reported by WorldNetDaily, and can be read by clicking here.
It should come as no surprise that it is OK to have a festival celebrating homosexuality, but not so when attempting to preach the Gospel. Fortunately, this pastor stood up to the authorities, and intends on going through with a lawsuit in order to ensure that the rights of Christians are protected. However, this sort of behavior by public officials will only get worse, and not better.
Compared to persecution in other parts of the world, this matter seems trivial, and to a certain degree it is. But we should not disregard it, and prepare ourselves for the much more severe persecution that is to come.
