President Bush States That

All Religions Pray To The Same God

President Bush has once again stated his belief that all religions pray to the same God.  The full story was reported on the WorldNetDaily website, and can be read by clicking here.

President Bush claims to be a born-again Christian.  Yet, he is quoted as saying "I believe in an almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe. I believe that Islam is a great religion that preaches peace."

One big question that comes to mind is, can a true Christian actually believe that all religions pray to the same God?  There are those that claim that a case can be made for Muslim's praying to the same God as Christians for a number of factors (which I will not go into at this time).  But the absolute absurdity of this belief really comes to light when one considers Buddhism, Hinduism (with its many 'gods'), Druidism, and many, many more religions "of the world".

Is the President crazy, a fake, misinformed, deceived, or just playing politics?

Sadly, I believe it is a combination of all.  One thing is for sure, if indeed the President believes himself to be a Christian, then he either does not read his Bible, or he does not believe it!

"I am the Lord your God, who led you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me" (Exo 20:2-3).

"You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are all around you..." (Deut 6:14).

"Look to me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other" (Isa 45:22).

"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Act 4:12).

There is only ONE God.  He revealed himself to Israel, and told them that He alone was God and to worship no other.  Jesus Christ later came and revealed Himself.  Only by His name may we be saved.  The Bible teaches us these things.  To claim that other religions worship the same God is to call our God (who wrote the inspired the scriptures of the Bible) a liar.

All of this just shows that President Bush is not unlike the vast majority of our elected officials who also claim to be Christians.  Yes, these same hypocrites who say the are Christian yet support the "rights" of this nation to kill 4,000 unborn infants per day.  Hypocrites who, in the name of "free speech", do nothing to stop pornography.  The sins of this nation are many, and they are allowed, and even promoted, by our "christian" congress.

Fortunately, Jesus Christ will Himself put an end to all of this.  He will separate the chaff from the wheat, and He set up His rule upon the earth.  Only then will we all pray to the same God, the great I AM.
