Germany using familiar tactics against its people to control them

Current actions in Germany against its people are striking a very familiar tone.
Stories of hard-line tactics against homeschooling families have made top headlines in many news organizations. Now, as reported by WorldNetDaily, these tactics are expanding into other areas. The original story, by Chelsea Schilling of WorldNetDaily, can be read here.
Using an offence termed "volksverhetzung", translated "incitement against the people", the government is prosecuting not only homeschoolers, but also any individuals who speak out against abortion. Recently, a Lutheran pastor was sentenced to one year in jail for his stance against abortion.
This "volksverhetzung" may also be expanded to prosecute those who promote creationism. To quote WorldNetDaily:
"The charge may soon be used to combat creationism as well. On June 26, the Council of Europe, or CoE, Europe's main human-rights body, is scheduled to vote on a proposal advocating the fight against creationism in its 47 member states. This obviously threatens most Christians and conservatives in order to keep them from speaking their minds and following their beliefs.
Sound familiar? It should, since this is the very tactic that the Nazis used in the past to control populations.
As shocking as this may sound to some, we are not that far away from similar tactics here in the United States.
"Hate Crime" laws throughout the country have the potential to do the same thing, as do additional laws currently being debated in congress. Freedom of speech is being redefined right before our eyes, and most are blind to it. We can expect our liberties to be taken away little by little as we move closer to the times of the end.
